Video Recording:Meeting Recording: [Slightly] Advanced Rail Creation - RevitToTD | AnyMeeting - The Completely Free Web Conferencing and Meeting Service (http://www.anymeeting.com/WebConference/RecordingDefault.aspx?c_psrid=EA52DE86874F)
Sample Files: (see attachment)

In an effort to keep these live sessions going strong, I'm going to make you all put up with me for an hour or so while I present how I created these railings shown below. It will cover some intermediate baluster post making procedures as well as a couple of tips for cleaning up rail turns.

BE WARNED! This is a solution, not THE solution. Don't attend this expecting to learn how to simply create a railing that looks like this in one fell swoop. DO attend this expecting to learn how to make a rail object that ends up looking like this :)

Who: Me and you, baby
What: [Slightly] Advanced Rail Creation
When: Wed, February 15, 2012, 21:00GMT, 16:00 ET [tentative]
Where: Anymeeting.com, munk will set up the link when it's time.
Why: Cause you want it and you know it.

Thanks everyone for showing up. I hope you all got something out of the Live Session. Please remember to make suggestions on what you want to see for future Live Sessions. Maybe we can start a thread for Session requests. Take a look here for the sample files and the video recording. Does anyone know why I can't watch the recorded session? I can hear the audio, but there is no video. I am using a Mac and have tried different web browsers, but that didn't help.

Because you are using a Mac... you wont have the correct codecs to play the video. Go figure

Hey you work at Lionakis in Sacramento? I worked there temporarily for a few months in the Civic studio. It's a great office. So there is no way around this unless I use Windows?

I am not sure and hopefully one of the Mac experts will chime in here but from my experiences no video but you have sound its a codec problem.

Well, don't know if it is a codec thing, or just a "Flash sucks on the Mac" thing, but I also get no picture, even using Chrome. In Windows with Chrome I get a picture, but the audio is still a little broken up. I wonder if that is in the recording however, perhaps a little bandwidth issue. It doesn't seem to be too bad however, just less than perfect.
In any case, I am going to try to do a screen capture of the Windows playback, and export to H.264 to upload to Vimeo. Unless someone knows a way to actually download the recorded file from AnyMeeting, rather than streaming it? In which case I could just run it through Compressor to H.264.

Filled a Support Ticket @ anymeeting.com, and got the below response. Could a mac user please validate the "Fix"?, thanks.

Hi Klaus,

We regret that some of your attendees are experiencing an issue with being unable to view certain content of your recordings. We do offer a workaround solution where all any Mac user will have to do is start playing the recordings in question and right click the area where the content is supposed to be playing. Press "Settings" on the small menu that appears and now a Adobe Flash Player Settings prompt window should pop up. Uncheck the "Enable hardware acceleration" box and close the prompt window. Refresh your browser a couple times and that should resolve their issue. From that point, they should now be able to see all the video contents of your recording.

If you continue to experience any further issues, please feel free to contact us again and we would be glad to assist you. Thank you and have a great day!

Regards,
AnyMeeting Support

Verified, working in Chrome. Nice spike in CPU usage as a result. Bummer for laptops running on battery. But thanks for tracking this down Klaus!

I hope Flash does a quick death. Total junk tech. :banghead:

Indeed, employee #2. He has been right a lot more than he has been wrong. ;)
