    I developed this idea during the days of accurender, as I didn't realise there was an option for a spherical environment map. I used to use a transparent wall with a decal attached.

    I have found this a little more problematic since 2010 as transparent walls cast shadows. so be wary of where you place your wall.

    This would also work well for a backdrop as you could achieve perspective based on the angle of the image to the camera.

    I'd call that a bug then, something 100% transparent shouldn't cast ANY shadows!

    I've always done what Munkholm suggests and NOT use something you'll be scheduling (like walls), i usually make a small extrusion of a never-used category, grouped with the decal so if i delete the decal the extrusion goes too.

    You can also create your own rpc's this way using .png's

    In max there is enviromental map, is there something simillar in Revit, I realy cant find it?

    Only in the cloud renderer; there are some presets for environmental maps. I don't think one can upload one's own.
