Hello everyone, my name is Jack and I am a novice Revit user with a background over many years of draughting in AutoCAD and I need some help with creating parametric arrays in families. I know what I want to achieve with my models but have trouble grasping the parameters needed in the properties to get the results I want. Is there anyone out there that can help me? I am trying to build a fence panel where the pales are set at a predetermined dimension ctr-ctr with a fixed end pitch at one end. When I reduce the length of the panel to create an 'end' panel or shorter panel I cannot get the array to reduce accordingly whilst keeping the fixed end and pale ctr-ctr dimension. Can anyone help/teach me? If you can I can post the file and you can tell me what else I may be doing wrong! I am working with Revit Lt 2020.

Thank you and hello to all!!!

Just go to the sub forum you want your post to be in and click the big blue button on the top left. For the first few posts they will need to be approved by one of the moderators, but after 5 I think they will be OK-ed automatcially.

Hi everyone I'm Heather. I've been using Revit for about 10 years (or so it feels like) and I finally hit a brick wall on a family I'm working on so going to reach out to the group for help. I've used this site for years so glad to be here!

    Hello,

I am a draughtsman for a company based in the UK. I use AutoCAD and Solidworks in my day to day work, but Revit is becoming more necessary to learn, so I am hoping to learn from a group of peers at every level to better understand the software.

I am self taught in all my CAD experience, except for a GNVQ in Engineering, which had some work experience using 2D cad.

    Thanks for reading

Hello everyone. I work for a food service equipment company doing food service design and utility layouts. I haven't found a lot of Revit resources specific to food service. I'm anxious to learn from the forum.

    Hello everyone,
My name is Rich and I am a novice Revit user with a background AutoCAD. I used Revit years ago and now want to get back to using it. I want to take our existing As-Built Master drawings done in AutoCAD and convert them over to Revit. We use our Master plans as a accurate as-built to start any new projects from. I'm just lost on how to get started with making our existing plans over in Revit it's been a few years since I have use Revit and need to get back into it. Most of our work is doing Computer LAB areas on a raised floor with all our cable and electrical underfloor. Looking forward to getting started.
