    half round roof

    Hi All,
Brand new here, brand new to Revit.
I'm trying to create an awning over a door opening - I built a fabric wall with an 8" ht. and am trying to place a 1/2 round shaped roof onto it - is this a correct approach? If so, how does one create a 1/2 cylinder shaped roof?
    many thanks, Will

I'd use the roof by extrusion tool.

Go to an elevation view where you are looking at the profile of the roof. Then, use the roof by extrusion method, draw the barrel vault profile. It will extrude the roof along that profile.

Then, you can attach the top of the "wall" to the roof and it will take that shape at the top.

    Thanks, dzatto
I successfully created an extruded roof, but need to fill in the front of it (in elevation view) with, I guess, a 'wall' having a 1/2 round top to it. Is this possible, or should I create a 'component"?
    thanks, Will

I would create an in-place family - roof, using the revolve tool to create the half round shape.

Just draw a wall and attach it to your extruded roof
