Structural Framing members under (hidden) not showing hidden

    Hi,

I got some floor beams supporting the floor slab but when you look at the plan view the beams shown as continuous even though they are under the slab. This happens in Course view only (It shows dash in medium and fine view). Do anybody knows is there any settings where we can change the presentation of members under to hidden in Course view.

    Thanks

Try this: in the ‘object style’ window, expand ‘structural framing’ and change the line pattern for ‘other’ subcategory.

    Thanks for your reply,

Changing the object style of `other' (structural usage) subcategory will change all over the drawing. What my problem is this beams under floor are with `Girder' structural usage and in some cases they are partially under the slab. It works fine in MEDIUM & FINE view where true object is presented but in Course view where I got single line presentations it does not work.

    Thanks

What is the material of the beam supporting the slab? Concrete or steel? Typically, a steel beam will display continuous, and the line weight will change when the usage is set to girder or joist or other. If it's a concrete beam and the lines are not hidden, you may want to try editing the beam family and verify the "Display in Hidden Views" setting.

It is Steel Beam. Is there anything can be done in Structural framing family.

    Thanks
