Multi category material take off schedules from a linked file - Strange problem

We have a very odd problem that I can't figure out and we're wondering if anyone has run into something similar. When creating a multi-category material take off schedule in a model containing a linked model, we get inconsistent results. We've got the include linked files option checked and on some computers, everything works fine. We see materials from both files in the schedule. In the same file on a different computer, the linked materials don't show up even though its exactly the same file, same schedule and the link is loaded properly. We can even make a new single category schedule on those problem computers and the materials from both files show up properly. It just seems to be multi-category schedules. This applies to all categories. Walls, Doors, Windows, etc.. Not referring to the problem of sweeps and a few other categories that don't schedule materials properly.

Have tried multiple computers and multiple test files and still get similar results. Anyone run into something like this before?

We didn't have that installed and will try. This problem happens in 2015 and 2014 however. The main problem is occurring in a 2014 project with one users computer showing the schedule with the materials and other without. Both have 2014 update 3 installed.
