    Wall offset deforms the floor

    Dear friends,

I have an issue which I couldn't find a answer on Google so far.

When I try to offset those walls on attached file, they deforms (moves the lines) of the floor either. There is no control over properties panel and the only way I could solve this issue is to cut and paste the wall.

But what I think is that there should be a property(!)

Please check out the attached file.

    Regards,

    - Mehmet Ali

When you created the floor Revit "attached" it to the wall(you probably used Pick Walls). The easy way to break this relationship is to cut & paste.

This often happens even when you don't use 'pick walls' and it frustrates the **** out of me! It's one of those automagical feel good Revit features. I agree with the OP, this (and other features) should have on/off switches.
