Project Base Point | Survey Point | Absolute Elevation Issue

    Hi,

I have a project of a renovation of an existing property where I had previously set the Top of Foundation to be 0'0". The top of foundation is 1'1" below the top of Finish 1st Floor. Then, I received a survey for the property, which gave me the Top of Finish 1st Floor to be 208' above sea level. So I tried to change the project base point so that the Top of Finish 1st Floor would be 0'0", since that is an established point, and the top of foundation is not. I also changed the survey point to be at -208' so that the contour lines in my topography would match the survey. I then went about adding absolute elevations, assuming it was all relative to the project base point of 208'. So for example I added 206' as -2'. However, I am finding that the absolute elevations are relative to the original top of foundation 0'0", and everything is -1'1" off. So where I expect the topo to have an elevation of 208', it is at 206'11". I have read up on the clipped and unclipped moving of the Project Base Point and Survey Points, but something is not working. Currently both are clipped and are reading what I expect them too, but the behavior of entering the Absolute Elevation of a topography point is not working. (I am using Revit LT 2015). Does anyone have any suggestions? I am attaching some sections showing and a plan attempting to show this issue. Thanks a lot.

Follow this tutorial in a new project to get your head wrapped around how it works, then go into your file and fix:
