rvt family on level 1 showing on level 2

I have a FCU that is placed on level 1 ref. level and is showing on level 2 floor plans. My view range isn't set to go below associated level, I dont have an Underlay, I also checked that floors are ON so its not just viewing thru the floor, but for some reason its visible on Level 2.

How or why is this happening?

Ive searched this forum but all fixes result in view range which I believe this to be something was different. Anyone seen this or know how to fix?.. besides hiding element..

Fan Coil Unit? Have you checked that there is nothing in the family that would make it taller? Sometimes there is a rouge reference plane beyond the bounds of the elements and it makes the family much larger. A plan region over the affected area can be a quick way to verify it isn't view range (set it really high or really low). Make sure the element hasn't been offset from the floor it's placed on too.

Howard, good to hear you're sorted, but in future please don't multi-post.
