How to assign the suitable IFC and gbXML options to a newly created family?

For the purpose of Energy Analysis, I have created a new Window family, but I don't know how should I assign the correct IFC options or tag to correctly export my window.

I also have the same question with respect to gbXML export of this window, however, I have some doubts because I think gbXML export should be easier and more automatic.

    I would appreciate any help!

To export your revit object in appropriate ifc type. you need to check your IFC export settings. you can check by going to export, Options, IFC Options.

hete you will find Revit Catagory column and IFC Class Name Column. If You see Not Exported in IFC Class name in front of your Desired Revit Catagory, You Can Assign appropriate IFC Class name there.

Remember Your IFC Class Name should be supported by revit.

check the following list to make sure that Revit supports the desired IFC classes.

    Hope it helps you.

    Good Luck.
