I finally just got hired primarily as the BIM Manager at a new-to-me company. They are working on their first Revit project and my job is to help them get it set up right, develop their template, component library, and detail library. Given that today is day 2, I can't tell you what a typical day looks like (although I expect it to be similar to Twiceroadsfool's experience based on previous experience as a CAD Manager).

Somewhat full-time. I've been in Vegas since last week at my new office. Next couple of weeks I'll be finishing packing and getting the house photo ready then heading back down. Next trip back to Idaho will be when the house sells and moving whatever is left.

Anyone want to buy a lawnmower? Nothing but the artificial stuff here. Already sold the snowblower.

Thanks! One of the nice things is this company believes in using company time to educate oneself independent of immediate project activities. So I'll be popping in here more regularly once again!
