Hangers On Fixture and Keeping in that spot no matter the length of the fixture

I created a suspended light fixture with cylinder hangers for my aircraft cable. I want that to stay the same distance from the end of the fixture no matter on the length that I made an instance perimeter. I have tried using reference lines and planes, I have tried locking the dimensions from the ref. plane view and just can't seem to get this to work. Any help is much appreciated. THANK YOU

Had a quick look: it will be a lot more robust and easy to control this if your hangers are made in another family and then nested into this family - with correct parameters linked through (i.e. the "elevation" parameter).
By treating the hanger as just one component, its very easy to then constrain it in your final family.

So when I create my hanger family, do I want to create two of them in that family or just one?

You dimensioned to the geometry of your fixture rather than use reference planes. That's why you're having trouble constraining the cable extrusions.

    Reference Planes Used

So I tried using reference planes and alignments along with my constraints and it still doesn't seem to be working. Any suggestions on what is wrong?

Just create one: load into your family and "copy" using standard methods
