    Cut Geometry

    Hi there,
I am trying to do a void in Model in Place, but it does not allow me to do in the column (attached prt scr).
The cut geometry is not allowing me to create the void, because I can not select the column (grey).
I can do it with the slab below, but not in the column. Any ideas?

You can only cut columns with the Opening By Face command, however it won't work vertically.

Model it as a wall or floor if you really need this with a vertical void. It's not common in reality that columns have vertical openings. If you have multiple columns like this, try to add the void in the family.
