    Hide Invisible Lines

Is there any way to hide Invisible Lines in the Family Editor?
I've got several families with Invisible Lines from the content down to the floor so that the family shows in Plan Views.
My problems (admittedly picky) is that I want thew Thumbnail View to show only the modeled elements and not the Invisible Line.
With the Line showing. I get a tiny image of the content, and a long (useless) line.
But there is no sub-category for <Invisible> and I can't even (shudder) Hide in View.
AND, the Family Editor doesn't have a Section Box or a View Crop

I use Temporary Hide Isolate in the 3D view before saving and closing. Whatever is visible is part of the thumbnail. It respects the temporary hide. I'll hide connectors and the host surface etc...

The invisible line has a Visible check box which should hide it in the project setting...you can also turn on Preview Visibility (family editor) and that should respect the setting there too.

Yes, that works, but only in conjunction with Steve's suggestion of unchecking the "Visible" box.
The down side of that process is that you have to uncheck the box, turn on Preview mode Zoom All and then do a Save As in order for the preview to update.
BUT: You can't leave it like that because, with "Visible" unchecked, the family won't show in plan. Which is the whole point of adding the Invisible Line.
So after you've done your Save As, you have to re-check the Visible box and do another normal save (which doesn't update the preview)
    Whew!

    Aha! Magic!!
I was about to say I didn't have that option.
Then I remembered the drop-down list next to the Edit Type button.
Pick where it says Family: Generic Model and select 3D View from the list.

THEN you get the properties of the View and from there you can turn on the Section Box.

    Thanks, Alex
IMHO, there are far too many things hidden under that drop-down.
I always forget about it & wonder why I can't do things.

    Hmmmmmm.....
    Still not quite there.
Not as happy as I was 10 minutes ago.
YES, you can turn on the Section Box.
NO, it doesn't crop off the Invisible Line
Further , you can't HIDE the Section Box. It's not in V/G, and you can't Hide In View the thing.
Additional , the Crop Box doesn't Crop it, either!!

Oh, and Alex: Mine is not "always there"
Anytime I select something, I have to go back to the drop-down and select 3D View again.

OR you just click on the view name in the project browser
