    Window Family Display Issues

I created a window family with multiple material parameters. Frame and Sash of the window is one material and then I painted a parameter material on both the interior and the exterior of the window geometry. This allows our window schedule to actually list the frame material and the finishes separately. I made three separate families this way, and have the same issue with all three of them. (links attached to download).

Well when I look at the family in section, it doesn't seem to show up correctly. The interior and exterior painted parameters work fine, but frame/sash material doesn't display correctly on the sash. But it does display correctly on the frame. Another wrinkle is that it also displays correctly when cut in plan.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

The walls have no wrapping at inserts or wrapping at ends. I'm also not sure what that would do with the section cut of the window.

Humor me, in a test file: Switch the Window to Generic Model, and load it back in. Does it work then?

That actually made it worse. Now it was displaying "wrong" in plan as well as in section.

Hmmm. Are the sweeps four sided (running around the entire perimeter of the window), or are they individually built, on the four sides?

My guess is you are seeing the back side of them, in section, because of the lack of cutability in the Window families.

Well what's weird about it is that half of the geometry is cut correctly and the other half is not. The window frame (shown as orange) is a 3 sided sweep and display's as it's supposed to. The sash of the window is a 4 sided sweep, but does not show as cut.

And if I cut a section view in the family itself and set it to "preview" it displays how I would expect it to.

Yeah. As im sure youve discovered: Section view in the family and section view in the project = not the same thing, unfortunately.
