    Wall footing issues

In Revit 2020, offset wall footings: I can't put in an eccentricity before placing the footing; I need to place it, then select it and change the eccentricity.
When I have 2 intersecting footings that are eccentric, they still extend beyond the corner (as if perp footing is centered on wall).
Also, how do I change footing widths along length of same wall? I can lengthen footings beyond walls but can't shorten them less then actual length of wall.

To create a foundation with an eccentricity, use the retaining type (Type > Structural Usage = Retaining).

Check the Default End Extention Lenght type parameter.

Use an in-place void or a face based void family.

Are you using the Wall Foundation tool?
When using this tool i can easely drag the ends of the beams.

I'd rather use disconnected standalone footings, slabs or even structural framing(!) before i did that.

But yeah, wall footings can be a PITA.

I tend to use beams for more detailed foundations.
When its just a school project or something small i use the wall foundation because its easier to use and faster.
