I want slanted, tapered, curved, profile editable, multi thickness, finish layer hideable walls please.

Oh and curtain wall location lines.
    Oh and panel unfolding.
    Oh and native pattern making.
Oh and patterns to behave on curved surfaces.
Oh and multiple sheet revision handling.
    Oh and...

    Please and thank you

And also more advanced mullion control. With more advanced profiles on mullions they sometimes dont connect wel in corners.

All of those features mentioned are present in Archicad. Not here to promote the product but after 15 years of holding my breath and being frustrated with Revit as most Revit users are, I decided to try out the other software. After all, I yet have to meet a disgruntled Archicad users, so curiosity made me try it out. To this day, I still can't believe how far behind Revit is and how we Revit users have tolerated such an inferior product.

Respectfully, if you havent met a disgruntled ArchiCAD user, you didnt WANT to meet a disgruntled ArchiCAD user.

Whats the most interesting (to me) about all of the Revit vs AC stuff, is the way the people on one side of the fence act about the other: I generally dont hear much *hate* on AC, from Revit Users. But AC users are super passive-aggressive about Revit and the Revit Community, and how everything that isnt ArchiCAD sucks. I was turned off by that even when i was using ArchiCAD. And the progression goes like this:

If you say you didnt like working in ArchiCAD: They say "well that was an old version, or you were doing it wrong."
If its a feature AC has that Revit doesnt: "I CANT BELIEVE REVIT DOESNT HAVE THIS FEATURE, ITS SO BASIC.
If its a feature Revit has than AC doesnt: "ITS NOT AN IMPORTANT FEATURE, YOU ARE WRONG FOR WANTING IT. THE WAY AC DOES IT IS MORE BETTER."
If its a feature AC finally got that Revit has had forever: "Well now there is NO reason to use Revit EVAR."
If its a feature Revit finally got that AC has had forever: "IF YOU WERE USING AC YOU WOULDNT HAVE HAD TO WAIT FOR IT!!!"
If someone voluntarily wants to use Revit: "YOU dont KNOW what you want!! The mainstream industry marketing machine MADE YOU like that!!"
If someone voluntarily wants to use ArchiCAD: "Well you are smart."

<< used to be a disgruntled archiCAD user.

AC has come a long way. and Revit has come along way. Its been 15 years since i start using both. And there are features in both that i wish both had, and there are pros and cons. But its 100% not true that there arent people out there who freaking HATE working in ArchiCAD every day. I couldnt stand it. I hated almost everything about how it wants you to work. There are concessions working in just about every software platform. You are just picking which concessions you want to make, and which you dont.

Im working with a client right now that is transitioning from AC to Revit. Firms go both ways.
