    Subscription Fee for BIM360

    Hi,
We currently work of a NAS drive in the office. If I work from home I have to use VPN and copy the files to my computer and then re-upload them to the NAS when done.
Pain in the rear ľ but works OK.

I have taken advantage of the extended trial of BIM360 Design Autodesk has made available. So fare we have only used the Document Management where we work towards the cloud model. We have not been using Collaboration tools yet. Due to the current situation doing worksharing over BIM360 works great.
Beating having a central file on Onedrive or using Remote Desktop.

In Australia the fee to use BIM360 is $1330 p.a. for each user. If you are 10 people in the office that is $13300 per year ľ which adds-up.

Is the fee the same for all users? For example, we might only have 3 Revit users but say 4 engineers that need access to view model and sheets etc. ľ is the fee the same even though Engineers would only be viewing and printing sheets?
I would love to be using BIM360 but the cost seems a bit steep for a smaller office.

Any comments on how you justify the subscription fee.
    Thanks
    J

Not exactly sure how it works but pretty certain there's some level of usage/viewing that doesnt require a paid licence.
    Need Scott to chime in.

If you only have 3 Revit users, you could get them BIM 360 Design Licenses
If your Engineers are only reviewing and not in Revit, they could get BIM 360 Docs.
You'd have to have the Reviteers Publish Sets frequently, but there are some pretty cool Viewing features in Docs (like comparing 2 versions)

DaveP has it right....only the people that need to actually author the Revit files, using Revit and Cloud Worksharing, need BIM 360 Design Licenses. The rest need only a "Document Management" license. (which are much cheaper)

Additionally, we have subscriptions for BIM 360 Design individually, or in Packs....10, 25, 100, 1000. In your case, if you actually needed 10 BIM 360 design licenses, you would subscribe to a 10-pack instead of 10 individual licenses, and the price of each is reduced. (i don't know AUS pricing, so i don't want to misquote you any numbers)
