Line Based Family - Nested Vertical and Horizontal Arrays

I am trying to create a line based family that is arrayed in the horizontal and vertical direction. I can do it with a generic revit family, but am stuck on a line based family.

    Here's what I have:
    1. Line based Cylinder Family created
    2. Line based Horizontal array family created with Cylinder family linked and parameters carried - works great
    3. Line based Vertical Array family (attached) - Nested the horizontal array into this, carried forward all the parameters, when I try to associate the vertical array to a parameter it BREAKS. I'm thinking it has to do with the origin of the line based family and it always associates to the horizontal axis at a zero elevation, but can't figure out how to fix it or if this is really the cause for the vertical array bust.

    Suggestions?
