    BIM360 Permissions problems

    Dear Team,
We have a few projects with several users successfully working in BIM360. This is good.
One user can see the project files and folders within the Revit interface, but the Revit files are greyed out. We can't figure out why. Autodesk don't seem to know.
Can anyone give any suggestions as to why this is the case please?

All users have the Role of Architect.
The Architect Role has full access permissions.
All the users can see and open/edit the Revit files except for this one user.
The user has accepted the project invitation and has logged into BIM360 (which is why he is able to access and see the files and folders within the project).
Permissions have been set for the folders within BIM360 for all users the same.

This user has now logged in as me and is working on the project.
I am now logged in as him - and can confirm that I can indeed navigate through to the files, but they are inactive.
Please someone tell me what I am not doing properly.

    Thanking you in advance.
    Anthony

Autodesk have confirmed to me that as of the last week or so there is an issue where new "Members" added to BIM 360 are unable to access and edit project Revit files on the platform. Existing users seem unaffected but new users cannot get access. I am told the development team in the USA and China are working on the problem but will not say when they anticipate it being fixed.

Has anyone else had this problem please?
Does anyone know any different information please?

    Thank you.

both interesting and weird. i have many BIM360 projects in production, and so for haven't see this type of behavior when adding, subtracting Revit users either within or outside of our office. i'm curious to know what would be causing this.

Hello Scott. Thanks for the reply, but not as yet. I have restarted Revit as well as have hit the Refresh button. User can still see the project, can navigate through to the desired folder and can see the desired Revit files, but they are still greyed out.

FWIW, we've seen it (in the US) where the users are added, but dont "see" access for a few hours. Its happened just about every time ive added someone to the job, recently. Ive always just assumed it was normal. LOL

I have removed the user from the project and the project then disappears from the project list on the Revit start page.
I have added them again and it project reappears - but the Revit files are still inactive.
I have deleted the user from BIM 360 and their access to any project stops.
I have added them again and invited them to some projects: again they can navigate through the project folders but the Revit files are still inactive.
This user has the same Role as all other users.

I used to find this too, which was very frustrating when you wanted a user to quickly jump into a project. But nowadays the I see the updating happen within seconds, which is good.

from your post above, you were able to have the user successfully access the model from a different machine...starting to sound like it could be something on the local machine?

No, it is not the computer. This user can log in as me on his computer and work fine. When I log in as him on my computer it does not work - the files are inactive. The problem is to do with the Autodesk user account. We have since created a new user for the team and he is able to log in and access the project Revit files without issue. Three Autodesk people have been unable to make this work.
