    Compare Clash Reports

Does anyone out there compare clash report results between a current report and the last report in an effort to track model changes etc.
I was thinking about this the other day and considered creating a Dynaworks script to extract clash results and push to Excel, which could then map provided data between this and the last set of results in a graphic output for the project managers etc.

Is there something proprietary in the market that does this? Is it worth doing?

FWIW, the project I am working on is not allowed to use cloud based services (BIM360, Revizto or BIMTrack) due to security concerns etc.

Just a thought really and was curious to hear what others were doing when comparing historical clash results.

I am interested, the excel report could be a good idea but in reality it should be Navis that let you compare the old clash with the NEW.

Clash Detective already does this, essentially. It tracks which are new clashes, and which carried over from last time.

There is also Model Compare, in Navisworks as well. Its beautiful.

    Thanks Aaron,

Yep,i get what you are saying. I have been asked if it is possible to create a "report" when translated means "something I can print out and don't have to use software" lol
I'm really just investigating the possible outputs to see what is the most effective.
I may simply end up using the model compare function...not sure. Might not do it at all...not sure the value it offers the project tbh.

Drew this is actually a nice idea, did you find a result for this?

I would love to see a report that showed me
    Active issues
    Closed out Issues
    Responded Issues
    Rejected Issues

And be able to filter them by each of the categories there, and see what was in those lists, and then also compile a list of things that had changed state between clash test V1 and clash test V2.
