    Crop Region Issue

    Hi All,

I'm having an issue with a cropped view in Revit. I have an irregular shaped crop region. The linked model get cropped to that shape but there are parts that aren't cropped: the light room tags and also my fixture tags are visible. Annotation crop is selected so I was confused on why this is happening.

Also I cannot use a masked/filled region for this view to hide that area since this view is duplicate as dependent. I'm trying to avoid having to create a separate view for this to use masked/filled region because I'd have to do it for all drawings for each trade. Is there another reason why these tags are visible after cropping?

    Thank you

The cropped view and annotation crop are totally different. If you create custom cropped view, the annotation will not follow the custom cropped view. It will still have the big crop box. Your option now is to hide it using hide by element or by filter.

Thank you for the response. Hiding by element would be tedious since there are multiple trades. I was thinking of creating a fill region and applying that to multiple views. But the issue I'm having is that the fixture and room tags are still visible. Is there a way to have the fill region cover the tags as well?

You can use the UBER Masking. It will hide your annotation and grids
