Exclamation Nested Links stop working every time we update the links

    Hi,
So we are currently working with a big project where everyone uses revit 2018 (A, K, MEP) Only Pre-construction uses Tekla so we get 4 IFC models from them. We convert these into ifc.rvt files and create a nested link model.
    So I have a pre-construction host-model with 4 linked models in it.
    They are all "attachments".
This set-up work for over 2 years, but it started giving us problem the last year now...

Everytime I update the nested links in the host-model and A or MEP want to open their central model, they can't open it because of the Pre-constrution. It will crash down the central model.
One time we solved it by opening the A-model with closed Pre-con worksets, and then open the workset up again. But this time that didn't work.

Now it says that "the following nested links are not found. These links will be unloaded". But they are links as before, with the same settings.

Does anybody have any idea what might be the problem?

Where are the models hosted? Are they on BIM360? Does everyone have access to the folder where they live?

We are using dropbox as a cloud solution. The strange thing is that it has worked for years, and started to give us problem this year.

Whether its worked for years or not, Revit Files in Dropbox are going to be problematic. If it worked this far, consider yourself lucky.

More than likely someone on the team has a Dropbox path that is slightly different on their local side, and its shredding the link paths... which is normal behavior.

Revit and Dropbox isnt a recipe for goodness.
