    Host family to multiple objects?

I have a floor based floor drain family with a void that cuts the floor. I need to place the drain in the middle of two adjacent floors but since I can only host the family to one of the floors, only of them gets cut by the void. As a result half the drain looks good and half of it gets overlapping lines as the floor beneath it isn't cut. Is this possible to achieve without adding separate voids in place?

Also. The floors have a slab edge profile which doesn't cut either, even in the floor hosting the family.

    Are the floors joined?

In floors I'm not sure, but in walls, families cut both if they are united

Instead of hosting, having an unhosted family with Voids in it, and setting it to Cuts with Voids, will allow you to cut several objects, with that component.

I need the line between the floors to be visible so I can't join them

    This worked well, thank you!
