How to edit the default length of plan/ceiling/roof/elevation/etc note leader line?

It's a small annoyance, but does anyone know how to change the default length of how long a plan note leader line is when adding a new leader line?

Example #1: When zoomed in to place notes and detail plans, you add a leader line and it ends up being out of your view (see attachment). So then you have to scroll over, zoom out, grab the arrow head, zoom back over, and place the arrow head where you want it.

Example #2: If you're in an enlarged RR plan, you add a note and add a leader line. Since the leader line often goes outside the annotation crop region, the note disappears. So then you have to turn on the crop region (if it's hidden which I usually like to hide them), drag the annotation crop region out to reveal the plan note, then repeat the steps in the previous example.

Repeating these steps over and over wastes a bit of time that does add up.
If there is a way to reduce the leader line length, that would save so much time.

    Please help!

    Thank you

I have been using it for a number of years & know your annoyance first hand

No solution that I know about to fix it - it is what it is

In the options bar, select "free......" (not in front of Revit at the moment) in the leader attachment dropdown.

I believe you're thinking of the wall/roof/floor "Tag by Category" tag which can either be "Attached End" or "Free End" in addition to being able to adjust and specify the overall length of the leader line (see attached).

I'm asking about the plan/ceiling/roof notes that you find in Annotate -> Symbol

    Thanks

    To clarify

Symbols don't at the moment have a default length that is adjustable & they always are added to the left side of the Symbol

Tags on the other hand do have a default length that is adjustable
