    Revit- wall with changeable thickness

    Hello,
I have a question about the easiest way how to make model of this type of wall with changeable thickness. The aim is to make model of building using only this type of walls (the same or different but with changeable thickness because of columns and beams), so I need the fastest way. Thank you. - If you want to reuse this with different sizes, your best bet is a custom loadable family. By default you cannot select wall category for a loadable family, so you will have to use some other category, or you can find a wall family template on the forum. I don't know the source of that template, but somehow someone created that. If you can't find it I can upload it.

    - If the different panels are really different from each other, than maybe it's not viable to create a family. In that case you have some options:

    - Regular walls with wall sweeps and reveals.
    - You can create some part of it as a compound wall with modify section. Using these commands are not really straightforward: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/suppo...67786-htm.html
    - Absolute last option is an in-place family.

You can download from here: https://mega.nz/file/WsZgnbhB#qyCqgU...Ygz670_so46Awc

There was a floor version as well, I couldn't find where I downloaded from, but it was from this forum.

Wall / floor family templates were likely created by the old 'export from a group' trick. Probably not the best idea to build a project around these as it may cause issues later, and you won't get all the built in capabilities of system families.

Autodesk is aware of this category problem, and it's on the roadmap: https://trello.com/c/hXEpSfcw/103-lo...ystem-families

Here is an idea where you can vote for this feature: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit.../idi-p/8698001

So we have to wait like 5-10 years, and mybe this will be implemented in Revit!
