    Hi Alex,

Many thanks - I agree but sometimes I like to be slightly 'obvious' in the new building, if you know what I mean. I struggle a bit with Lumion's tendency to be a little 'warm' in renders. It is most noticeable with the 'Realistic' pre-set.

I tried a number of versions of this. The 'overcast' skies in Lumion came out quite dark and there is a limit to how much lightening you can do in Photoshop without it looking really false (i.e. as in all Estate Agents' photos )

The Luminous Labs video tutorials on youtube I mentioned earlier I've been exploring this morning and there are some really useful tips on lighting Lumion Interiors and Exteriors. In particular, small tweaks to the presets via FX which can make a big difference to the scene.

In an Interiors video he addresses the 'too warm' look that bugs me in Realistic Mode - looks like a really good channel to follow if you use Lumion.

Lumion's plug-in for Revit 2022 is now in the Autodesk App Store, I've just noticed.

I know there is a lot of excellent competition, and the view navigation is difficult, and the interface is strange... but there is something about Lumion that hits the mark for me.

Anyway the family like this illustration of the proposed extension to our 1939 house (over my office ) and it was fun doing all the planting - maybe that's part of Lumion's charm - it's fun

(Dappled shade for elevations - works every time IMHO )

I was amused, and quite impressed really, when I happened to notice that the Admin team at our National Park Authority have protected the identities of the 3D computer created figures in my Lumion model render submitted with the publicly viewable documents for our planning application.

Screenshot of where they have blanked out the submitted image - followed by a close-up of what is actually happening there

PS - notice that the Lumion supplied content chairs are too low for the Lumion people to sit on without their feet being below ground level - or maybe I just need to scale down the people?

Yeah I would agree that the table and chairs height is definitely too low.

Thanks - I thought at first I should have scaled down the people but I think you are right, it's the table and chairs that need scaling up

If it's of interest to anyone else, I notice there is an 11.3.1 update available for download from Lumion. Not sure what it fixes as I've not had any problems so far. It appears to be a full new version download and install so probably worth having.
