Access Wall Core Centerline Within Wall Hosted Family

Hi friends,

I am attempting to create a wall hosted family that places at the wall core centerline. I seem to be able to select and lock elements to this centerline element, but this does not translate to the project environment with different wall types. Is this possible with OOTB Revit?

Are you using the reference plane that’s already there or one you created? Frankly, either should work.

What are you trying to do larger picture?

Im not sure what I was missing yesterday but I am having no issue making it work today. Thank you for responding!

Looking at it closer, I believe my issue derived from one of the origin reference lines in the family being pinned. By unpinning it, I align and lock it to the wall core centerline within the family and maintains that relationship in the project environment.
