It seems to take 2-3 hours to install on a Window 10 20H2 workstation from an Autodesk package via a network drive. Is that normal?
Any ideas why it is taking so long?
I was expecting 45 minutes instead!
what type of hard drive? Our machines with SSD's install Revit significantly faster than regular spinning platter HDD's.
They are spinning platters. I submitted the log file to Autodesk support for comment. It took about four hours.
I am happy to report that Autodesk recommend that I install directly from their site. It took only 30 minutes! Perhaps Windows Defender does not like my Powershell scripts to run the Autodesk packages.
