    Roller Door Issue in Revit

    Hi there,
How I can put my roller door family into an existing curtain wall? It has err and doesn't work.

One idea: replace the default curtain panel with a basic wall type (yes, you can do this). Then host the roller door to the basic wall. That wall will no longer be visible, but it will still be there.

Alternate idea: recreate the roller door using the "Door - Curtain Wall" family template. Then it can be used to replace the curtain panel directly.

Since you're new here (and I'm having the same problem at work today), I'll be gentle:
It has err and doesn't work.
Doesn.t really help us much trying to diagnose the problem.
Please include the exact error message you're seeing - better yet a screen shot.

I apologize if I'm coming across as grumpy today, but I'm now in the 5th email of a help desk ticket.
First email didn't tell me the project
Second email didn't tell me the name of the View
Third email had a zoomed in screen shot of an Elevation with no context
Fourth email had another zoomed in screen shot of a floor plan
After I asked for the exact View Name, Fifth email said "the floor plan" (There are approximately 90 plan Views s in the model)
Again, Ati, I apologize if I sounded mean. This wasn't about you.

By the way: Welcome to the forum!

I learned along time ago to send a response after about the first email like that, that simply says "Hey, i understand youre having a problem, but you arent sending me all of the information i need, so im going to go ahead and close this ticket until i have ALL of the information."

Thank you so much for your thoughts. But I need to keep the curtain panel as it is, because of walkthrough video and estimation take-off.

You should reread her suggestion more carefully, as it would not negatively affect walkthrough video OR estimation take-off. You are misunderstanding it.
