Revit - Paint Plan Accent Walls

Please reference the attached. This was done in Mircostation (yes, please don't shoot me). What would be the best way to do this "intelligently" in revit. In the past we just did detail lines on plan. I had a thought of using a filter that was based on material. Paint the wall with the accent material then use a filter to override the graphics in manner to suit.

Convert to parts. Specify the material for that part and then use filter to highlight the material.

Depending on the scale of the view this wont read as well as you might like. The thicken line will be centered on the Part rather than offset to one side as you have in your example. It will also thicken both sides of the Part which will again will be a problem at some point.

You could also use Dynamo to place and manage a detail item in these locations. It could work off the Parts or even the painted wall if you want to get deep into the challenge!
