Materials schedule

I am trying to use a material takeoff schedule to create a material key for exterior elevations.
Thought I had it figured out, but for some reason, not all of the materials show up. Brick shows up, but shingles do not.
Anybody with an idea of what is causing this?

pretty sure only the materials you used in your 3D model show up, nut the ones that are in your project

Agree that this is likely the reason for not appearing on the schedule.....that has been my experience as well. For this reason, we model all the materials we want scheduled.

Using every material in the model can at times be more bother than the apparent gain, especially for those materials that have not yet been finalized (think SD/DD), so for those we assign those desired materials to a a farm of generic model "material chips" (simple extrusion). These material chips get modeled in a non-primary design option that we reserve for model management; while i prefer the D.O. workflow, this could also be done using prehistoric phases. This works well for pre-populating material schedules while the model is still be developed.
