Calculated Value

Hi all
Can anyone help?
I want to create a schedule for give me a total number of spirals required.
For example I have a total of 10739mm of 300 diameter spiral tube which comes in 3meter lengths to I want to add a parameter with a calculated value to divide length by 3meter ( 3000mm ) and give an value of 10.739 lengths required.

Your calculated parameter is type "Length" when it should be type "Number". That way Revit accepts the unitless value as valid after you divide your overall lengths by the standard length. Attempting to populate a "Length" parameter after dividing a length by a length will throw inconsistent units.

As for best practices over material takeoffs for MEP fab, I'll leave that to the more qualified.
