    prevent revit plugins from installing/loading

    Hi all,

I installed Bluebeam 2019 and it automatically is trying to install/load it's bluebeam plugin for Revit.

I do not want the plugin.

Every time I start Revit, it prompts if I want to load the bluebeam plugin. I see no way to disable this.

    Anyone know what to do?

    Thanks!

Has it loaded this .addin file ?

    "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2020\bluebea mAddin2019.addin"

If so delete it or move it

    Hi Mark,

No, that file is not in that folder (and yes, I'm using standard Revit 2020). There are other addins, but nothing that starts with "bluebea..."

I appreciate the reply... any other ideas?

After you suggested that, I did notice the load plugin dialog indicated it was trying to load the plugin from the bluebeam app folder, so I went and renamed the plugin.

Now when I open Revit, it complains that it can't find the plugin. (so I renamed it back to its original name).

Top right on the bluebeam ribbon "Revu" scroll down to Administrator and in plugins deselect Revit.
I tried it on Revit 2019 and seems to work, deactivates it.

    Thanks, that did the trick!

Kind of weird that there's no way for Revit to stop a rogue plugin though?

I used the bluebeam Administrator to uncheck all the AutoCAD & Revit versions; but Revit still prompted me to load it. So I renamed the AutoCAD & Revit folders (added a suffix "zzzz ") in "C:\Program Files\Bluebeam Software\Bluebeam Revu\20\Pushbutton PDF". That did the trick! Revit seems to take a tad longer to load, but no more prompts about loading Bluebeam into Revit.
