Mine runs pretty consistently at 4.7, while im in Revit and Navisworks. But, its not one of the "Mobile Processor" laptops. Its running a full Desktop Processor, and its the "thick" chassis Remis offers. But i freaking love it!!

Yes, that is great for sure. Never really work on a laptop myself, so not really sure if throttling still happens, but it is stuff I still hear from people buying really expansive thin laptops and then running only at the base cpu speed because it overheats when just opening a jpg.

My Lenovo Thinkpad is 7 years old and is running a and is coping pretty well (does get a bit hot at times), and has the Quadro K2000M and 16GB Ram - but now overdue an upgrade as others in the team need to be brought up to date.

As we a local gov. authority we need to go for Quadro as they supported by Autodesk.

That's to bad because you REALLY don't need that, but get a 4Gb Quadro and you will most likely be OK

My current (2 year old) laptop is a Lenovo W530 with a Quadro P2000
We've been using Lenovos for many years & they work great.
People in our office tend to move around a lot and also head off to client sites, so everyone having laptops has really helped. Especially when everyone had to head home.
Out current spec is a Lenovo P53 with Quadro RTX
