    structural cables

    how would i show cables that are holding up a ramp. the cables would be hanging off a building and connected to a ramp . what is the easiest way of showing this does anyone know?

    If so, I would go for adaptive components w/ just 2 points...

    Any Family can be a cable.

    Non-adaptive component, non-line-based = Youll have to place it on a work plane, then snap the two "ends" with the align tool, to the correct support.
    Non-adaptive component, Line Based = You'll have to place it on a work plane, then "draw a line" where the cables go.
    Adaptive component = It can be two point (line) or three point (spline), which will allow you to snap in 3D, and make it seem like its in *tension*, with the third point. You can do that with a Line Based as well, if you build in some math.

    Just depends how you want it to work. They all have their ups and downs. AC's based on things in the rest of the model, get a little ugly if the things theyre based on in the model suddenly disappear...

    Maybe its a job for the new divide path tool...
